Mauvaise Foi

In the existentialist philosophy of Sartre: the self-deception practised by a person who wishes to avoid absolute responsibility for his or her own actions by not recognizing that human beings have free will and that no relationship is genuinely mutual. Also (in extended use): bad faith, disingenuousness.

I hate to whine, either on the comic or here, but sometimes I have to be honest. Drawing a comic is really hard. I spent more time avoiding drawing than drawing. I had written myself into a hole from the week before and I really didn’t want to deal with it. I’m super glad I’m out of that hole and I’m going to spend much more time making sure that it never happens again. It hurts the ego a lot to know that I had to suffer one week of a really bad comic to get back on track.
