Over the last few days, I’ve been spending a lot of time just going over the basics again. I feel like I’ve spent a lot of time on trying to learn skills that are more technical that I require at this time and have neglected the basics which are the actual foundation of the image. I feel like I’m hitting a plateau where it is going to take a lot of hard work to notice any perceivable progress. It is a bit demoralising when it feels like any gains I make vanish the following day. I have come to respect the value of warming up, but it is still something I don’t like spending the time to do.
